Fry, fry, again!

I had a fantastic time giving a class on making traditional Chanukah foods at the Malibu Jewish Center. We discussed Chanukah culinary history, enjoyed some exotic latke recipes, demonstrating their techniques as well as dough making for sufganiyot (traditional round Chanukah doughnuts). The students jumped into action, frying and filling masses of them! You gotta love fried foods! Happy Chanukah to all who celebrate!

Strawberry filled sufganiyot. The recipe, when shaped as a rectangle, and fried at a different temperature, can double as beignets all year round!
